Tapping vs Rubbing and Calming the Classroom

Teachers! I hope you'll try not only tapping with your kids, but also these techniques, for a calmer classroom: RUBBING on the EFT points, especially the "collarbone" , and also the rib point that equates with the liver point, previously called the "under nipple" point. As that's too provocative a name to use with the kids, I just call it the 'rib button'. or TOUCH & BREATHE on the EFT points, including a palm technique that covers the "eyebrow" points and comes up over the forehead. Both of these techniques are very calming, and can avoid that unintended "revved-up" effect some children get from the energizing tapping, especially those kids that pound away enthusiastically! I work within urban public schools as a visiting literacy artist and this procedure has helped a lot. So "even though" I use a lot of tapping work prior to starting our classroom sessions, and use affirmations such as "even though it's hard to stay in my seat, I'm a good kid!" languaging and deep breath work, sometimes it's helpful to stop the class clown from careening off by having everyone take a touch&breathe moment to re-center themselves. Keep tapping! (And let me know what YOU think, too!)
